Fine Art, Paintings, Books, Prints, Photographs, Films, Records, Antiques, Collectibles, and more…

I provide expert appraisals for estate, insurance, and charitable contribution, as well as market consultations on how and where to best sell your items.

This site gives me the opportunity to showcase some of the amazing historical artifacts I have come across in my work as an appraiser!

I was raised in a family of antique collectors and early on I developed a fascination for rare and unique objects. As a child I spent much of my free time collecting photographs and engravings and hunting flea markets for lost treasures. My love of history later inspired me to travel the world where I made my home in a number of diverse locations including New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Alaska, Japan, Bangkok, and Istanbul. While residing in New York I attended NYU and honed my research skills by working on notable projects such as curating antique books for an exhibit at the Museum of Natural History, appraising items for the Katie Couric Show, and interning at Swann Auction Galleries.

I spent over eight years as a rare book dealer in Seattle, over five years as a principal appraiser of fine art and home furnishings for HW Inc. in New York City, and since 2013 I’ve been simultaneously employed as an appraiser at Gurr Johns art advisory firm and as a property specialist at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles where I handle celebrity estates and collections.

I’m a member of the National Auctioneers Association, a graduate of the appraisal studies program at NYU, and I have successfully completed the USPAP course and exam highlighting the congressionally recognized standards promoted by the Appraisal Foundation.
